The nests project is being developed in a seaside site, out of the town on Nea Moudania in Kassandra Chalkidiki. The objective of the project is the redesign and the change of use of the existing monolithic shells in the site as well as the development of outdoor common living spaces which will host the activities of the new hotel. The hotel consists of 14 rooms housed in a two-story building oriented with unobstructed views to the coast and 6 suites with private pools and backyards. On the plot, there is a restaurant which serves the customers as well as external visitors. The common pool, the specially designed canopies and pergolas serve the hotel’s activities and can accommodate various events. The basic principles of the design is the creation of interventions in the existing shells and in the outdoor space, in the form of new cores-nests of both privacy and socialization, as the case may be.
