The Summer Elevation residences are located in the area of Potidea, Halkidiki, which is a summer destination with very interesting qualitative characteristics. Some of those are the proximity to the sea front, to natural landscapes of high importance, such as the wetland of Agios Mamas and to luxury settlements and hotel units in the wider area. The aim of this project is to create a summer village with holiday homes and communal areas for recreation. Its design was based on the 5 points of Kevin Lynch’s theory of the visual organization of the city. Paths, boundaries, areas, nodes and landmarks were used as tools to organize the masterplan in order to shape the movements and create an environment with common characteristics and aesthetics, but also with transitions, visual escapes and points of interest taking into account the views and sun.
